I swear there's something a *little* off ab out her left shoulder pad (the scapula bone, I think). It feels like it juts out a little too far. Otherwise, this one's a-okay!

This is a little risque for an E for Everyone rating, no?

I forgot that Newgrounds is one of the few websites prudish enough to label a girl in a bikini as sexual.

If the colors contrasted more, it'd be less hazy, more clear, but I get that it's underwater, though.

This actually looks very nice when looking at it as nothing more than fanart of "Stranger Things" rather than a "Stranger Things" Rule 34 pin-up. This looks like something I'd be happy hanging up as a poster if not for a few nitpicks.

Primarily, Eleven's gown looks like it's morphing between (A) clothing that drapes from her body, naturally, and (B) her naked person with floral-themed paint covering her naughty bits. I understand why it looks the way it does: you've got different versions of the same painting with varying amounts of clothing and lewdness. But this one isn't porn—and I'm not saying it should—it's just suggestive. But I'm confused as to why, within the context of a character simply wearing a gown, can we see the contours of Eleven's breasts, rib cage, and belly button as if her clothes are skin-tight? It's a gown, mate, a one-piece dress that is essentially wrapping yourself in window curtains. The clothing around her arms are drooping nicely enough, although the tattered cloth around Eleven's left arm should drape more vertically than at the more obtuse angle here, and the drapery from below her snatch down looks great. I like the way it tatters around her legs; it helps break up the monotony of her dress!

Secondly, the anatomy of Eleven's left leg is either wrong or she's been taking Leg Day way too seriously. I pointed it out here: I've looked at the leg from different perspectives, but regardless of whether the leg is pointed more to the left, causing the bulge that covers her other leg; set center, where the leg becomes a massive ham; or if the leg is more rightward, with a mysterious bulge immediately to its left, it just doesn't look natural. Otherwise, the cartoon anatomy looks great!

Thirdly, while it looks neat, I don't know what is causing that lens flare. I assume it is a spotlight coming off a helicopter, but I don't see a helicopter, so for all I know there is no helicopter and therefore nothing causing that lens flare. Besides its context, I'm conflicted as to whether it ought to be there compositionally. On one hand, the lens flare is distracting from the subject of the painting Eleven. On the other hand, Eleven is looking stage right. With the lens flare, she is given something to "look" at composition-wise, leading the viewer's eye to her arm which cycles back to her eyes. This is all fine and dandy, however the path the viewer follows here serves no purpose for the painting. Alternatively, the lens flare could point to something of interest! Her "011" tattoo could work! If the tattoo is moved from her wrist up Eleven's arm to lie where the lens flare is pointing, that would serve a compositional purpose!

Or instead of the lens flare, the blood dripping from Eleven's left ear could run down her arm and have that point out the tattoo! (That'd also make it edgier.)

Before I end this review that took a solid hour-and-a-half to write, I want to say that I actually like this, it looks great.

Lastly, the three-star asterism next to Eleven's head is pretty distracting because the stars themselves are thick.

Anywho, I give it 4/5, great drawing, would look at again.

Oi vay, this hits a little too close to home. XD I assume this is satire of the new "Pikmin" game, yeah? I just discovered the series and I adore "Pikmin 3", so hearing the news about the new 2D side-scrolling was a bit of a letdown, although it looks decent enough as a spin-off.

Actually, now that I think about it, "Endless Ocean Amiibo Adventure" sounds awesome.

SuperPhil64 responds:

Not entirely. It's more based on the Chibi Robo 3DS spinoff game and other mid tier Nintendo spinoff's and amiibo tie in's they have been making lately. Tho Pikmin is the one that reminded me of Chibi Robo.

I'm actually looking forward to Pikmin 3D, it looks like there might be more depth to the gameplay than some of their recent 2D platforming spinoffs!

Side note, i actually made a box art mock-up for this XD

I distinctly remember you saying that you didn't want NSFW art of your characters. Why the change of heart?

I didn't know Suzy has such high expectations.

Also, I didn't know that Suzy was a contortionist because that pose is crazy.

Otherwise, it's pretty nice. I like the coloring.

No wonder people love reel-to-reel so much. It puts them in a trance ~~~~~~ OoO ~~~~~~~

The use of stylized dot-matrix-like shading is really cool. Nice color palette. Great attention to detail.
